On Thursday in M1 Robs 1 bumped Cantabs 1 but after the event the Robs 1 and Robs 2 crews was deemed to be illegal and the bump was disallowed.
On Friday in M1 Robs 1 bumped Cantabs 1 but after the event the Robs 1 crew was deemed to still be illegal and the bump was disallowed.
At the EGM on 13 August 2008 the CRA members voted to penalise Rob 1 for these actions and fined them £800 and dropped then to 6th position in the division.

In M1 on Friday City 1 bumped '99 1 and during the bump the cox of '99 1 was flung into the water and was injured. This caused the racing to be stopped so that the cox could be recovered and receive 1st aid. As light was fading it was decided to abondon racing so the only bump that actually took place was that of City 1 on '99 1. The bumps committee decided to award technical bumps to some crews.
