Entry Details 2012

Dates: 15 January, 19 February and 04 March

Division Times
Division I 0900
Division II 1040
Division III 1220
Division IV 1400

The Winter League was devised as an aid to winter training, with crews competing in all three legs at monthly intervals, in the hope of seeing improved times over the three legs as an indication of increased fitness. However, in recent years many crews have elected not to row in all three legs, and entries have been accepted from all crews on an equal basis, with the result that some crews wishing to row in all three legs have been refused entry as the race is already full. In 2009 only 117 crews completed all three legs, out of a total of 200 places available, the rest being taken up by crews entering fewer races.

For 2010, in an effort to return to the Winter League's original aim, and following massive oversubscription in this year's event only crews wishing to row in all three legs will initially be given a confirmed entry. You will note from the poster that crews wishing to enter all three legs are also required to mail a cheque in advance to the Event Secretary. All other entries will be placed on a waiting list (in the order in which they are received) until the closing date/time. NB - Please note that the closing time has been brought forward from in order that the waiting list can be dealt with and crews notified on the evening entries close.

If you wish to enter your crew for only one leg please ensure that you include your division preferences with your entry. If you do not do this you will simply be put into a division at and too bad if you can't row then!

ENTRIES are invited for all boat types and age groups but will be limited to 50 crews per division for safety reasons (please state 1st & 2nd choice when making entries first come first served.)

COURSE is 2 600 metres, upstream, A14 Road Bridge to Green Dragon Bridge.
